I could cut you out of your story,

Yes, a little artistic license is all that it takes to read my mind

So I painted it the way I think you would

The paint is almost dry
But I need to create a masterpiece for you to see when you close your eyes

These broader strokes glean my smoke screen

Was always careful crossing lines,
But now I do it all the time,
